Woodland Adult Education offers classes in parent education to help parents develop skills and attitudes that promote the healthy development of children and healthy family relationships. In the Woodland Parent Nursery School (WPNS) experiences are structured so that parent and children learn together. WPNS is a parent cooperative nursery school where children are enrolled 2, 3 or 4 days per week. Parents are required to participate 2 or 3 mornings per month and attend two evening meetings per month.
WPNS classes are provided in a cooperative setting so fees are much lower than a traditional nursery school.
Parents and children learn together as they explore socializations, messy art, music, snacks, stories and motor development in a cooperative school setting. Parents learn about child growth and development while providing a nursery school learning experience for their children. Adults participate in class and work on a rotating basis plus attend class in the evening offered by WPNS.
