Introduction to dental assisting

This 48-hour course provides an introduction to the field of dental assisting, equipping students with essential skills for a career in dental assisting. The course combines lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on practice, covering topics like dental instruments, infection control, sterilization, and dental terminology.
 
Requirement for this class are:
  • Minimum of 18 years of age
  • High School Diploma or GED or in process of attaining
  • Proof of legal residency (Copy of Picture ID: Current State Drivers License or Passport) and copy of Social Security Card or ITIN.
  • Must pass CASAS assessment. Assessment will be given on day of orientation.
  • Students are required to purchase the following scrubs in the color pewter: Cherokee Unisex Scrub Top & Cherokee Unisex Drawsting Medical Pants. These are the designated scrubs for this class.
 
There is a mandatory orientation that all students must attend on Wendesday, April 14th at 9:00 am. It is required that you bring your scubs to orientation.
