Welcome to our esl community

Welcome to our English as a Second Language (ESL) program! We provide a supportive, warm, and engaging environment for adult learners at every stage of their journey. Whether you are a Beginning, Intermediate, or Advanced student, you belong here.
Our Focus: Practical Skills for Daily Life
We focus on real-world communication to help you thrive. Our classes emphasize all four core language skills:
- Speaking: Gain confidence talking in any situation.
- Listening: Understand spoken English with complete ease.
- Reading: Enhance your daily reading comprehension skills.
- Writing: Express yourself clearly and effectively.
Free Classes and Flexible Schedules
We offer free ESL classes that are continuous (you can join at various points throughout the year) and offer flexible scheduling options to fit your needs. The program levels are beginning low, beginning high, intermediate low, intermediate high, and multi-level. Placement in the appropriate level is determined by attending an orientation and completing a pre-test. This ensures that you are learning in an environment that is tailored to your current skill level. We offer flexible class options to match your busy schedule. Students must attend all scheduled days for their chosen track.
- Morning Track: Monday, Wednesday, & Friday: 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
- Evening Track: Monday, Wednesday, & Thursday: 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
To enroll in ESL classes at Woodland Adult Education, students must be 18 years of age or older.
